Switzerland has a network of social insurance institutions offering protection against risks for those who live and work here, for example protection against poverty and support in case of illness.

The pension fund is the occupational pension plan. If you work and earn more than CHF 21'510 a year, you are automatically insured. When you retire, your contributions are paid out in the form of pensions or capital.
